I have been sitting on plans and ideas for YEARS, and it is finally time I do something about it. So… *drum roll please* welcome to my new and improved website and blog. This will be the space where I share my work, honest reflections on personal growth, creative entrepreneurship, and motherhood.

As part of this new chapter, I am also introducing a new personal journal: An Intentional Mess – a multi-passionate creative’s journal. 

There are so many goals and dreams I’ve been working on behind the scenes—but I haven’t shared them. That changes now.

My family and I were in Mexico over the Fourth of July, and I honestly believe that trip was a turning point for me.

I had just finished a major work project that I felt really proud of. And in the quiet that followed, during some late-night reflection, I found myself heated. And not just a little. Like really heated.

Let me explain.

If you don’t know me:

Hi, I’m Courtney and I’m so glad that you’re here! I am a wife, mom and creative entrepreneur. My husband happens to play in the NFL, (we had a doozy of a year last year, more on that another time) and we welcomed our son in January of 2024. He is the most curious, fun and outgoing kid and keeps us on our toes.

For years I’ve introduced myself as a photographer. But over the course of the last 8-10 months, that has shifted. These days, I call myself a creative/multi-passionate entrepreneur – which basically means that I like to do a lot of things.

Photography is my foundation and always will be, but I’ve also fallen in love with creative direction, styling and curating experiences and visuals of all kinds. Which is what led me here.

Now, back to Mexico.

I have felt a calling to share my life for years, but have always held back for a multitude of reasons – mainly all coming down to what was my intention for sharing. I have done so much work on myself personally and now finally feel like it’s the “right” time.

I’m extremely detail-oriented and intentional, and I care deeply about doing things well. But for too long, perfectionism has kept me from showing up at all.

In Mexico, I decided that wasn’t going to be the reason anymore.

If I fall flat on my face—fine. But it won’t be because I didn’t honestly try. And it won’t be because I was waiting for things to feel perfect before putting them out there.

So, welcome to my website and blog, featuring “An Intentional Mess” where we have a long term plan, but right now, we’re going to throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks.

I am so excited to share the process of what I am working on with you and more importantly, I hope to be a resource for all of the things I have learned along the way in motherhood, life, photography, etc. Messy or not, here we come.
